Description
Nederlands: Wegverkeer in Londen, oktober 2004
English: A view south down Victoria Embankment, looking from the footbridge which runs alongside the rail tracks across the River Thames into Charing Cross station. The river is on the left, and in the distance is the Big Ben clock tower in Westminster. The bus is a Stagecoach London vehicle which, according to its destination display is operating London Buses route 53 to Whitehall, which means it must be on a diversion today, as the normal route is to cross Westminster bridge and go straight up Whitehall and turn around in Trafalgar Square to begin a new journey (to Plumstead), whereas this one has come up Embankment instead, and is now turning left into Northumberland Avenue, which also goes to Trafalgar Square.
