Description
English: A type B killer whale, showing distinctive two-tone gray “cape” pattern and large eye patch, in a attempt to catch a Weddell seal on an ice floe near Rothera Station, along the Antarctic Peninsula. A seal prey specialist, it may represent a distinct species.
Français : Une orque de type B, présentant un motif distinctif de « selle » en dégradé de gris, et une large tache oculaire, s'attaque à un phoque de Weddel sur un floe, près de la station de Rothera, le long de la Péninsule Antarctique. Spécialiste de la prédation des phoques, il pourrait s'agir d'une espèce distincte.
