Description
English: Photograph showing folio 11 recto of the British Library's manuscript collection of poetry in the Kurdish Gorani language, the Gorani Anthology. (Shelf mark: Or. 6444, http://searcharchives.bl.uk/IAMS_VU2:IAMS032-003468713) The codex was copied in 1197–98 AH (1782–84 CE) and contains 370 poems of different authors written in naskh script and in an oblong "safīna" format. Poems from this anthology were published with an English translation by Anwar Soltani, Anthology of Gorani Kurdish Poetry (London: The Soane Trust for Kurdistan, 1997).
