Description
English: A votive inscription dedicated by the Greek Onnophris that depicts a male pharaoh presenting offerings to the goddess Isis, but honours in its text a queen Cleopatra (probably Cleopatra VII). It is disputed whether Cleopatra was deliberately depicted as a male or whether a stele made under her father with his portrait was later inscribed with an inscription for Cleopatra. If the mentioned queen is indeed Cleopatra VII, the stele can be dated to 51 BC. On the uncertainties regarding this stele, see Pfeiffer, Stefan (2015).
