జాన్ మేనార్డ్ కీన్స్
స్థూల అర్థశాస్త్రానికి బాటలు వేసిన బ్రిటిష్ ఆర్థిక వేత్త జాన్ మేనర్డ్ కీన్స్ (John Maynard Keynes).
ఇతను ఇంగ్లండ్ లోని కేంబ్రిడ్జిలో 1883 లో జన్మించాడు. ఈటన్ కళాశాల, కేంబ్రిడ్జి విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలలో విద్య అభ్యసించాడు. బ్రిటిష్ ప్రభుత్వం యొక్క ఇండియా కార్యాలయంలో పనిచేసి Indian Currencies and Finance గ్రంథం రచించాడు. 1936లో రచించిన సుప్రసిద్ధ గ్రంథం The General Theory of Employment, Interst and Money వల్ల ప్రపంచ ప్రసిద్ధి చెందినాడు. రెండవ ప్రపంచ యుద్ధం సమయంలో How to Pay for the Wars గ్రంథాన్ని రచించాడు. ఇతని యొక్క ఇతర రచనలు Treatise on Probability, A Treatise on Money. 1946లో ఇతను మరణించాడు.
