Description
Español: Escudo del municipio de Sincelejo (Sucre).

"El Municipio de Sincelejo adopto su Escudo por Acuerdo No. 15 del 29 de Julio de 1944, cuando el Honorable Concejo Municipal adoptó el proyecto del diseño de la Bandera y el Escudo del Municipio de Sincelejo. Propuesta presentada por el escritor Josè G Yance. El Escudo se encuentra dividido en tres secciones: El superior muestra las estribaciones de la Sierra Flor, que son prolongaciones de los Montes de María y sobre cuyas faldas se levanta a doscientos veinte metros la ciudad de Sincelejo. Las montañas se elevan sobre un cielo esplendente y diáfano. El segundo muestra la emblemática vivienda primaria de palma y bahareque y el paisaje con sus riachuelos y especies de Flora y Fauna. El tercer campo es para mostrar la tradición agrícola de nuestra gente en la fertilidad de su suelo. Se destacan unas matas de maíz como símbolo de la riqueza y herencia zenú."
