Un gewog (Dzongkha block) est un groupe de villages du Bhoutan formant une unité administrative géographique intermédiaire entre le village et dzongkhag.

Le pays comprend 205 gewogs, qui couvrent en moyenne une région de 230 km².
À partir de la fin des années 1980, le Roi du Bhoutan, Jigme Singye Wangchuck, a poursuivi un programme à long terme de décentralisation. En 1991, suivant ce principe, les gewogs sont devenus des unités administratives officielles, chacun étant dirigé par un gup ou chef. Les toutes premières élections au Bhoutan se sont tenues à ce moment-là, avec un représentant de chaque ménage votant pour choisir son gup local.
