Description
English: Ural owl (Strix uralensis) ringing. Bird ringing is common practice for individual identification of bird. There is a text on ring about city of making and individual number. All the information of bird's location is kept in Banding Center.
Русский: Что делать, если хочется узнать — это одна и та же птица прилетает уже который год на известное Вам место? А может, её словили учёные в совершенно другой стране на зимовке, но никто об этом не знает? Бывают случаи, когда автомобили сбивают птиц на дороге — как понять, не Ваша ли это любимица? Чтобы ответить на эти вопросы, учёные придумали простой и дешёвый способ. Они изготавливают специальные кольца, которые вешаются на цевку птицы. На кольце есть информация о городе производства и индивидуальный номер, а все данные о местонахождении птицы хранятся в Центре кольцевания.
