Description
Español: escudo del Municipio de Zipaquirá, Departamento de Cundinamarca, Colombia.
  • La descripción del escudo es la siguiente: Escudo de forma española, cortado y medio partido en su parte inferior, lleva por timbre un castillo con tres torres, en oro y lambrequines, y por divisa en su parte inferior la leyenda en sable "Todo por la Patria".
En el cuartel superior, un libro abierto cuyas páginas en blanco ostentan: la derecha, en su parte superior, una corona en oro, símbolo de la autoridad real, en su parte inferior la leyenda "Capitulaciones Comuneros" en sable; y a la izquierda en su parte superior, el gorro frigio, y en su parte inferior la leyenda "Zipaquirá, junio 8 de 1781" en sable. En el cuartel inferior diestro una ciudad murada, en sable, sobre azul; un cerro al fondo y un cielo, en sus colores naturales. En el cuartel siniestro ostenta la catedral de la ciudad, la plaza, y sobre sus torres una mitra episcopal todo en oro, símbolo de la sede diocesana, bajo un cielo en sus colores naturales.
