Un ŷuzʼ (en árabe, جُزْءْ, /ʒuzʔ/; literalmente, 'parte'), aŷzāʼ si es plural (أَجْزَاءْ /ʔaʒ.zaːʔ/), es cada una de las treinta partes de diferentes longitudes en las que se divide el Corán. También se conoce como para (پارہ / পারা) en Irán y el subcontinente indio.
A su vez, cada yuz se divide en dos mitades, llamadas ḥizb (حِزْب).
La división en aŷzāʼ no tiene relevancia para el significado del Corán y se puede comenzar a leer desde cualquier parte. Durante la época medieval, cuando era demasiado costoso para la mayoría de los musulmanes comprar un manuscrito, se guardaban copias del Corán en las mezquitas y se ponían a disposición de la gente; estas copias tomaban frecuentemente la forma de una serie de treinta partes. Algunos usan estas divisiones para facilitar la recitación del Corán en un mes, como durante el Ramadán, cuando se recita todo el Corán en la oración de tarawih, a razón de un ŷuzʼ por noche generalmente.
Un ŷuzʼ se divide además en ḥizbāni (lit. 'dos grupos', de ḥizb, 'grupo'; pl. aḥzāb), por lo tanto, hay 60 aḥzāb. Cada ḥizb se subdivide en cuatro cuartos llamados maqraʼ ('lectura'), haciendo ocho cuartos por ŷuzʼ. Hay 240 de estos maqras en el Corán. Los maqras se utilizan a menudo como secciones prácticas para repasar cuando se quiere memorizar el Corán.
El ŷuzʼ que se memoriza con más frecuencia es Ŷuzʼ 'amma, el ŷuz 30, que contiene los capítulos (sūrah) del 78 al 114, con la mayoría de los capítulos más cortos del Corán. Ŷuzʼ 'amma se nombra, como la mayoría de los aŷzāʼ, después de la primera palabra de su primer verso (en este caso, sura 78).
