DGG Thanks for your improvements to the SNC-Lavalin article. I have also been working on related articles such as Corruption of Foreign Public Officials Act (CFPOA) and Deferred prosecution. As always, the challenge is to keep it as up-to-date and unbiased as possible while editing "live". It is layered and complex. I had used "Legacy issues" instead of "Controversies" or "Criminal charges" because most or all of the alleged crimes took place prior to 2012 and involved individuals who are no longer working at the company. The history of the CFPOA is particularly interesting in the context of SNC-Lavalin, because Canada, compared to other OECD countries, was very lax in its investigations and convictions prior to c. 2015. The 2017 SNC-Lavalin annual report pages 110, 207-2011 provides details on criminal charges with accurate terminology that I hope to add as well. Oceanflynn (talk) 00:10, 21 February 2019 (UTC)

Yes, chronology is more of a stage in a process as we work on the most appropriate choices for subdividing into sections and subsections. I appreciate your editing contributions. Hi NewsAndEventsGuy Thanks for your comment and kind invitation. It is encouraging to read about the newly-created WP:WikiProject Climate change and your role in it. As a veteran editor, along with contributing to content, you are able to enter into polarizing talk page discussions productively and gracefully—there is no topic more polarizing today than climate change.

At this time, rather than formally joining the Project as a member editor, I will continue to contribute from time to time in related articles. I am currently working on IPCC Special Report on Climate Change and Land in my sandbox and I would like to create an In the News based on this article. I would be delighted to have other editors collaborating on this.

FYI This is just an aside regarding the use of the {{harvnb}} and/or the sfn template. harvnb Years ago, I had started to use {{harvnb}} in some of the articles I created in the past. At that time, veteran editor User:Dianna quickly stepped in and helped clean up some of my template errors. I read her very useful article entitled [https://www.duhoctrungquoc.vn/wiki/en/User:Diannaa/Citation_templates "Why I prefer Sfn citation template from an article"]. Another veteran editor user:Redrose64 compared the two templates saying that sfn "produces output which is identical to {{harvnb}} in behaviour and appearance, but dispenses with the need for ...; differing page numbers are given different ref numbers, but where a given author/year/page combination occurs more than once, they are automatically merged." Redrose64 suggested Reading Southern railway station as an example where the use of {{sfn}} even with 59 inline references, avoids the repetition of ... tag. I wanted other editors to contribute to articles I had created. I had wanted to use sfn and harvnb templates because of the alphabetical organization of the references and the more professional appearance. I gradually revisited my older articles where other editors had subsequently added helpful content using standard citation templates, and replaced both the harvnb and sfn with the standard template. Along the way I also followed the advice of an editor to use the citation parameter in horizontal rather than vertical format. I had liked the vertical format for the clarity of filling in the parameter fields but did find the horizontal citation format much less distracting when reading the article's content in my preferred Edit Source vs the Visual Editor option. As I am working on the new article and adding references, I may be adding to references currently in use in related IPCC articles with missing parameters, etc and will use the existing standard citation templates for expediency (to avoid template errors). I greatly appreciate finding all the sources and adding that to the Amazon wildfire story, but I want to give you some helpful advice for how you are adding this. Your cites are right, but you are using far too many quotes. For example, this sentence you added By August 24 or 25 international media coverage began to include fires in the Dionisio Foianini Triangle (the Brazil-Bolivia-Paraguay border area)[33] with fires destroying savannah and tropical forest "near Bolivia's border with Paraguay and Brazil."[33] In this context, there is zero reason to quote the last part - its a statement of fact from an reliable source, not an opinion. It does not need to be quoted, but may need to be paragraphed. The only real time that you should think about quotes is when repeating when someone is giving a statement of opinion that need to be given in-line attribution (such as Bolsonaro's statements). Sridc Yes, I first read this years ago in relation to Wikipedia articles and talk pages and it made sense to me. I have not been able yet to find that original essay. There is an old essay that I think was written by an historian, about the "civil war" on the Civil War talk pages. That may have been the first time I saw it in an essay. But I did find this Harvard Business Review article—it focuses more on political diversity. As I come across more on the theme, I can add them here for now. WildStar The page you created was largely a timeline. The Telus Corporation does deserve a fully developed article following existing articles about conglomerates and international corporations. Adding lists of persons etc is not that helpful. Paragraph form is the Wikipedia standard. I did make an error in the {{about template. I added Telus Communications instead of Corporation as the parent. This was not a lack of understanding but a typo. Your contribution to all the related Telus articles is appreciated. The timeline is useful because there are a number of significant developments that can best be included with a timeline. Most of the references are from Telus so let's try to find other reliable sources to make these articles more robust. Also please be very attentive to not copying verbatim text from any of the RS unless you use quote punctuation. I noticed that you had done a lot of excellent work and greatly expanded Pond Inlet. I was curious about something in the section Pond Inlet#Pond Inlet community histories. The paragraph that begins "Inuit youth from Pond Inlet were taken from their families" and later goes on to say "The new organizations they founded upon returning to the Arctic, included the Committee for Original Peoples' Entitlement (COPE), in response to the 1970 Banks Island exploratory oil seismic work that threatened the subsistence of local trappers,". I'm not sure if that should be included. It can give the impression that COPE was founded by people from Pond Inlet. However, it was an Inuvialuit organisation that was in the western Arctic and today is the Inuvialuit Settlement Region. I'm not really sure that it has much relevance to Pond Inlet.

There are gaps because my sources looked mostly at short-term trends, while the less detailed summary needs more long-term information. Hi, I had to revert two of your edits. I explained why in the edit summary, but both were unavoidable due to the guidance the "see also" cannot include links already in the article. And the second issue was that we cannot our court documents as a source as they are primary sources of information.
