"Burkinabè" is not French. The demonym was created by Thomas Sankara and the suffix "bè" is Fulfulde. This demonym is invariant in number and in gender and is the only correct way to designate someone from Burkina Faso. Do not change it to the incorrect "Burkinabé" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65sugg (talk • contribs) 19:52, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
Does anyone here think we should separate the 1984–1987 era Burkina Faso into a new article??

Hello. Just curious as to why the current demonym is Burkinabè and not Burkinabé, like I was previously led to believe. Is there a consensus on this? When was it changed? Who decreed this? I'm pretty sure that for a long time we used Burkinabé. Thank you! Paul Vaurie (talk) 05:02, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
