Devda completed the Master of Arts and Law degree from Vikram University, Ujjain.
In 2023 Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, Devda won the Malhargarh Assembly constituency as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate which he has been representing since the last 8th elections.
On December 13, 2023, Devda was appointed as Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh along with Rajendra Shukla in the Ministry of Mohan Yadav. He also had the responsibility of Finance & Commercial Tax in the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
