Description Blount Island, Jacksonville, Fla. (Feb. 4, 2005) - Commanding Officer, Blount Island Command, Col. Carl D. Matter, left, greets National Football League (NFL) Hall of Famer, Ted Hendricks, on board Blount Island, Fla. Hendricks played for the Baltimore Colts (1969-1973), Green Bay Packers (1973) and Oakland Raiders (1975-1983). Twenty-two NFL Hall of Fame players visited the Marines and Sailors assigned to Blount Island Command to show their support for the local Sailors and Marines as part of Super Bowl XXXIX kick-off festivities.
