Description
English: On March 17 1864, the Prussian Navy attempted to break the blockade of Swinemünde, but was forced back by the Danish squadron. The Danish weekly Illustreret Tidende gave an account of the action in its April 3, 1864 issue, accompanied by this drawing by Carl Neumann. His drawing was based on a sketch made by an officer on the Danish corvette Heimdal.
Dansk: Den 17. marts 1864 forsøgte den preussiske flåde et udfald fra Swinemünde, men blev tvunget til at vende om af den danske eskadre. Illustreret Tidende omtalte søtræfningen i sin udgave 3. april 1864, ledsaget af denne tegning af Carl Neumann. Neumanns tegning var baseret på en skitse fra en løjtnant på Heimdal.
