Description
English: The arrangement of the photoreceptor cells in an pale and yellow ommatidia of Drosophila melanogaster: The top row shows two of the six outer photoreceptor cells (R1-R6) and the inner R7 and R8 cells. The bottom row shows the different opsins the cells express.
