This will be the first UEFA Conference League played under the new format. From this season, the competition is renamed to UEFA Conference League from the UEFA Europa Conference League.

The final will be played in Wrocław Stadium in Wrocław, Poland. The winners of the tournament will automatically qualify for the 2025–26 UEFA Europa League league stage, unless they qualify for the 2025–26 UEFA Champions League through their league performance.

A total of 168 teams from 53 of the 55 UEFA member associations are set to participate in the 2024–25 UEFA Conference League (the exceptions being Liechtenstein which does not organise a domestic league and Russia who is currently suspended). The association ranking based on the UEFA association coefficients is used to determine the number of participating teams for each association:

• Associations 1–12 each have one team.
• Association 13–34 and 51–55 (except Liechtenstein and Russia) each have two teams.
• Association 35–50 each have three teams.

Association ranking

For the 2024–25 UEFA Conference League, the associations are allocated places according to their 2023 UEFA association coefficients, which takes into account their performance in European competitions from 2018–19 to 2022–23.

Apart from the allocation based on the association coefficients, associations may have additional teams participating in the Champions League, as noted below:

• (UCL) – Additional teams transferred from the UEFA Champions League
• (UEL) – Additional berth for UEFA Europa League title holders

The information here reflects the ongoing suspension of Russia in European football, and so the following changes to the access list have been made:

• The cup winners of associations 39 to 44 (Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Luxembourg, Faroe Islands and Northern Ireland) will enter the second-qualifying round instead of the first-qualifying round.

Notes

The schedule of the competition is as follows. Matches are scheduled for Thursdays, with an exclusive day of December 19, apart from the final, which takes place on a Wednesday, though exceptionally can take place on Tuesdays or Wednesdays due to scheduling conflicts.

First qualifying round

The draw for the first qualifying round will be held on 18 June 2024.

Seeding

A total of 52 teams will play in the first qualifying round. Seeding of the teams will be based on their 2024 UEFA club coefficients. Before the draw, UEFA may form groups of seeded and unseeded teams per the principles set by the Club Competitions Committee. The first team drawn in each tie will be the home team for the first leg.

Second qualifying round

The draw for the second qualifying round will be held on 19 June 2024.

Seeding

A total of 103 teams will be involved in the second qualifying round – 15 in the Champions Path and 88 in the Main Path. There will be no seeding in the Champions Path draw and one team will be drawn at random to receive a bye. Seeding of the teams in the Main Path will be based on their 2024 UEFA club coefficients. Before the draw, UEFA may form groups of seeded and unseeded teams per the principles set by the Club Competitions Committee. The first team drawn in each tie will be the home team for the first leg.

Third qualifying round

The draw for the third qualifying round will be held on 22 July 2024.

Seeding

A total of 60 teams will play in the third qualifying round – eight in the Champions Path and 52 in the Main Path. There will be no seeding in the Champions Path draw. Seeding of the teams in the Main Path will be based on their 2024 UEFA club coefficients. Before the draw, UEFA may form groups of seeded and unseeded teams per the principles set by the Club Competitions Committee. The first team drawn in each tie will be the home team for the first leg.

The draw for the third qualifying round will be held on 5 August 2024.

Seeding

A total of 48 teams will play in the third qualifying round – 10 in the Champions Path and 38 in the Main Path. In the Champions Path draw, the six losers of the Europa League third qualifying round will be seeded and the four winners of the Conference League third qualifying round will be unseeded. Seeding of the teams in the Main Path will be based on their 2024 UEFA club coefficients. Before the draw, UEFA may form groups of seeded and unseeded teams per the principles set by the Club Competitions Committee. The first team drawn in each tie will be the home team for the first leg.
