Summary[edit]
DescriptionMarienkapelle Würzburg, South-West View 20140107 15.jpg |
English: The Marienkapelle in Würzburg as seen from south-west. The chapel was built by the citizens of Würzburg from 1377 to ~1480 in a Gothic style. During the bombing of Würzburg on March 16, 1945, the building was heavily damaged, but has been restored in the decades after. The chapel is notable for the works of Tilman Riemenschneider who created several of the statues that decorate the building. |
