Description
Deutsch: Ehemaliger Keller der Küchenbaracke - Arbeitslager Walldorf / Flughafen Frankfurt - Außenstelle des KZ Natzweiler-Struthof. In Betrieb von August bis Dezember 1944. Im Lager waren bis zu 1700 ungarische Jüdinnen interniert, die Zwangsarbeit auf einer Baustelle der Firma Züblin zum Bau einer Rollbahn am Flughafen Frankfurt verrichten mussten. Etwa 50 Frauen überlebten die 4-monatige Lagerzeit nicht. Von den restlichen Frauen überlebten nur etwa 300 die weitere Deportation und das dritte Reich.
English: Remains of the former cellar of the kitchen barrack - labour camp Walldorf / Frankfurt Airport - Outpost of the concentration camp Natzweiler-Struthof. In use from August until December 1944. Up to 1700 Hungarien jewish women were detained in the camp for forced labour on a runway construction site of the company Züblin at the Frankfurt Airport. About 50 women didn't survive this time period of 4 months. From the remaining women, only about 300 survived further deportation and the holocaust.
