Deutsch: „Der Kreis führt das ihm gemäß vom Regierungspräsidenten Köln mit Urkunde vom 31. Oktober 1973 verliehene Wappen. Geviert; (heraldisch) rechts oben in Rot drei, 2 : 1 gestellte, goldene (gelbe) Rosen; links oben in Gold (Gelb) ein rot bewehrter und bezungter schwarzer Löwe; rechts unten in Silber (Weiß) ein durchgehendes schwarzes (kurkölnisches) Balkenkreuz; links unten in Rot ein dreizackiger goldener (gelber) Zickzackbalken.“ Der neue Kreis Euskirchen, aus den alten Kreisen Euskirchen und Schleiden entstanden, führt in abgewandelter Form das Schleidener Wappen weiter. Die Rosen stehen für die Herrschaft Arenberg, der Löwe für das Herzogtum Jülich, das Kreuz für Kurköln und der Balken für Manderscheid-Blankenheim.
English: „The first arms were granted on October 31, 1973. The arms represent the four main dynasties/territories of which the county is made of; the first quarter shows the roses of the counts of Arenberg; the second quarter the lion of Jülich, the third the cross of Köln and the fourth the arms of the counts of Manderscheid-Blankenheim.“
