Português: Ilustração da obra Histoire de la mission: Paris 1614. Levantamento da cruz na colônia francesa. Em vez de ler o requerimento como fizeram os espanhóis, os franceses preferiam apresentar a aliança entre índios e franceses como uma livre submissão da parte dos índios. São eles que, com a ajuda dos franceses, erigem a cruz, todos os outros índios e franceses rezam. Uma inscrição latina faz alusão à missão ("Ecce levabo ad gentes manum meam, et ad populos exaltabo signum meum", Isai[a] 49" ("Eis que levantarei a minha mão para as nações e arvorarei o meu estandarte para alertar os Povos", Biblia, 1982 Isaías, cap.49, verso 22). A gravura é assinada por L. Gauthier.
