For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
ADN-ZB-Kasper-10.11.89-Bez. Gera: Reiseregelung-Tausende Bürger passierten mit ihrem PKW die Grenzübergangsstelle Hirschberg (Kreis Schleiz). Viele entschieden sich noch während der Fahrt zum tschechoslowakischen Grenzübergang Schöneberg, doch den am nächsten gelegenen Grenzübergang zur BRD zu benutzen.
