Deutsch: Gedenksäule an die Erfindung des Stahlformgusses durch Jacob Mayer unweit Tor 1 des Bochumer Vereins an der Alleestraße, Eingang der ehemaligen Abnahmezentrale, 1935 errichtet. Auf der anderen Seite der Säule befindet sich eine Plastik des "Stahlformgießers" des Bildhauers Willy Meller als "Soldat der Arbeit". Quelle: Broschüre zum Tag des offenen Denkmals in Bochum, 13. November 1998. Die "Jacob Mayer Säule" wurde am 31.05.2007 unter der Nr. A 625 in die Denkmalliste der Stadt Bochum eingetragen [1]. |
