English: German Republic was proclaimed by MSPD member Philipp Scheidemann at the Reichstag building. Photo first published on November 24, 1918 in Berliner Illustrirte Zeitung no. 47.
Deutsch: Scheidemann ruft vom Westbalkon (zweites Fenster nördlich des Portikus) des Reichstagsgebäudes die Republik aus. Foto zuerst veröffentlicht am 24. November 1918 in der Berliner Illustrirten Zeitung Nr. 47.
