Description
English: The old citizen's house, Helligkorsgade 18, 6000 Kolding, Denmark, Kolding's oldest building. It's probably built in 1589. The gable has a cannonball, built into the wall, as a memorial, because the house was not destroyed during a bombing in the First Schleswig War. The bombardment took place on 23 April 1849 during the Battle of Kolding. Since 1908 it has been a listed building.
Dansk: Det gamle Borgerhus, Helligkorsgade 18, 6000 Kolding, Danmark, er Koldings ældste bygning. Det er sandsynligvis bygget i 1589. I husgavlen er der indmuret en kanonkugle, som et minde for at huset ikke blev ødelagt under et bombardement i Tre-årskrigen. Bombardementet skete d. 23. april 1849 under Slaget ved Kolding.Huset blev fredet i 1908.
