Description
English: Kharkov Oblsovet and Sumskaya Street in Kharkov.
Русский: Харьков, Нагорный исторический район, граница Киевского и Шевченковского административных районов. Вид с отметки +95 м 29 марта 2008. Улица Сумская идёт справа налево.
Справа с надписью "Укрсиббанк" угловое с улицей Иванова здание института Гипрококс с аптекой №1 по ул. Сумской, 80. Архитектор Елена Любомилова, 1954, сталинский классицизм. Видимый угол выходит на площадь Дзержинского.
Слева от него жёлтое здание на Сумской, 64 - первоначально ЦК КП(б)У, затем Харьковского обкома партии (ныне обладминистрация с покоями назначаемого президентом губернатора Харьковской области). Восстановлено в стиле сталинский ампир с лепным картушем знамён Победы и центральной Красной звездой (сейчас трезуб) наверху после WWII, в 1954 году. Архитекторы В.М. Орехов, В.П. Костенко. Фасад является центром перспективы площади Дзержинского.
Левее на Сумской жилое здание 1920-х годов с высокими белыми колоннами. Фасад выходит на площадь Дзержинского.
Ещё левее на Сумской чёрное наклонное офисное здание под народным название "Чёрный квадрат" из стекла и бетона стиля "китчевый хай-тек" (построено в 2007-2008, концерн АВЭК).
Ещё левее его на Сумской - жилое здание 1900-х годов.
Далеко на горизонте в тумане район Московского проспекта.
