Summary[edit]
DescriptionDull Knife.jpg |
this is not Dull Knife, a.k.a. Morning Star (1810-1883) but reportedly High Chief, a Southern Cheyenne, image dated early 1900's. Same High Chief was also photographed by Dixon around 1910. There is only one positively identified photograph of Dull Knife (a.k.a. Morning Star), dated ca. 1868 by William Henry Jackson and also on Wiki Commons, listed under the name Morning Star. The title of this page, to avoid confusion, should be corrected, i.e. either purged or at least replaced with the name High Chief.
English: High Chief of the Northern Cheyenne; full-length, seated. Halftone of photograph. |
