Opvoedkundige onderwerp: Sagte vrugte

Enige vrywilligers... Groete! Oesjaar (kontak) 08:28, 11 Januarie 2022 (UTC)

The Call for Feedback about the Board of Trustees elections is now open

The Call for Feedback: Board of Trustees elections is now open and will close on 7 February 2022.

With this Call for Feedback, the Movement Strategy and Governance team is taking a different approach. This approach incorporates community feedback from 2021. Instead of leading with proposals, the Call is framed around key questions from the Board of Trustees. The key questions came from the feedback about the 2021 Board of Trustees election. The intention is to inspire collective conversation and collaborative proposal development about these key questions.

There are two confirmed questions that will be asked during this Call for Feedback:

  1. What is the best way to ensure more diverse representation among elected candidates? The Board of Trustees noted the importance of selecting candidates who represent the full diversity of the Wikimedia movement. The current processes have favored volunteers from North America and Europe.
  2. What are the expectations for the candidates during the election? Board candidates have traditionally completed applications and answered community questions. How can an election provide appropriate insight into candidates while also appreciating candidates’ status as volunteers?

There is one additional question that may be presented during the Call about selection processes. This question is still under discussion, but the Board wanted to give insight into the confirmed questions as soon as possible. Hopefully if an additional question is going to be asked, it will be ready during the first week of the Call for Feedback.

Join the conversation.

Best,

Movement Strategy and Governance, Zuz (WMF) (kontak) 16:43, 11 Januarie 2022 (UTC)

This whole issue stink of politics and is an arrogant view. A very small language Wikipedia wants equal rights to say a 6 million article Wikipedia? I know why the small Wikipedia's want representation - to get their hands on the donor money! The actual idea of Wikipedia is to create content - articles, but somehow that seems to have been forgotten! North America and Europa have created articles, Africa not! Which raises the question, has Africa becomes a bottemless pit for Wikipedian donor money? How can a group that cannot even build a Wikipedia in its own language manage the whole foundation? The Afrikaans Wikipedia is not prepare to play political games. Oesjaar (kontak) 20:25, 13 Januarie 2022 (UTC)
@Oesjaar:On what basis are you saying that small Wikipedia's want representation in decision making just to get donor money? Are these communities not already getting funds? Even though the actual idea of Wikipedia is to create content, volunteers play different roles such us helping to develop technological tools, organising events, or participating in governance discussions and processes to ensure effective decisions are taken, all these are very important and contribute to the sustainability of the movement. If your community wants to focus on content creation that is fine, but you should understand that volunteers are free to contribute in any role. Your comments about Africa is so wrong and insulting. It makes me wonder if you are even aware of the several Africa wiki communities and their contributions to not only English Wikipedia, French Wikipedia, Arabic Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wikimedia Commons and other indigenous language Wikipedia such as the Swahili Wikipedia, the Hausa Wikipedia, Yoruba Wikipedia, Igbo, Dabgbani, Twi, etc. When making comparisons between the amount of content that has been made by volunteers in Europe and America, please bare in mind that African volunteers did not get to know or join Wikipedia the same time as volunteers in these regions. And the conditions in Europe and America is not the same us those in Africa so please be mindful of such comparisons. By the way, only the expertise of knowing how to build a Wikipedia is not enough to manage the foundation. And that is why diverse perspectives, expertise and representation is needed on the governing body that manages the foundation. Zuz (WMF) (kontak) 11:27, 14 Januarie 2022 (UTC)

Die onderwerp spesifieke saadjies....

Gemeenskap, sien Sjabloon:Azerbeidjan-geo-saadjie. Ons het 'n saadjie sjabloon, is dit werklik nodig elke onderwerp 'n unieke saadjie moet hê? Groete! Oesjaar (kontak) 14:08, 16 Januarie 2022 (UTC)

~ Burgert (kontak) 16:58, 16 Januarie 2022 (UTC)
Groete. --   SpesBona 21:40, 19 Januarie 2022 (UTC)

Rondom Afri-Frans, Afri-Spaans, Afri-Talia: 'n nugtere vraag/nabetragting

As hierdie strategie gewerk het, goed so.

"Vyf rand alleen", soos mens 'n tjek sou uitskryf.

Binne die CD-omslag staan daar (my beklemtoning):

[...]

Nou hier breek my klomp en loop my spoor nou dood.

Baie geluk.

Ek het gehoop iemand sou my hiermee kon help. Miskien het iemand iets raakgelees? Suidpunt (kontak) 14:56, 24 Januarie 2022 (UTC)

Suidpunt, kyk op Google Scholar , het ten minste vier artikels oor die projek gesien waaronderː "Afrikaners is nostalgierig : Afri-Frans as vertaling van identiteit". beskikbaar by https://journals.co.za/doi/abs/10.10520/EJC141445 Groete. Sobaka (kontak) 17:52, 24 Januarie 2022 (UTC)
