Die toernooi word deur UEFA georganiseer. In 1999 is die toernooi met die Bekerwenner-beker saamgesmelt. Tot 2009 het die toernooi UEFA-beker geheet, maar nadat die toernooi met die Intertoto-beker saamgesmelt het, is die naam verander.
