Karkams is 'n klein dorp in die Noord-Kaap, Suid-Afrika langs die N7 nasionale pad.
Dit is noord van Garies. Die naam is afgelei van 'n Khoikhoi woord of uitdrukking wat met water te doen het. Dit is al vertaal as 'vlak water', 'skaars water', of selfs 'springende water' verwysende na die artesiese put in die omgewing.
