Some government websites use a black spear in the coat of arms.

Description
English: Some government websites show a coat of arms with a black spear. CRW Flags (at https://crwflags.com/fotw/flags/cd).html) shows a black spear being used as early as 2006. So it is possible that the original coat of arms used a black spear, and the grey spear variant being just a later interpretation.
