I don't know why the Scots version of the article was the one that popped up when I clicked through from Google, but I was very confused at the spellings -- until I saw the word "bairns." Then I realized where I was. Unfortunately, the mobile version of the editor is so excruciating to use that I ended up inadvertently exiting out. I know this issue has been discussed many times, but you should know that Scots actually is a real language. The Scottish Government recognizes it as such. There are Scots dictionaries out there (see dsl.ac.uk and scots-online.org), and if you use the translation feature you will find that the translations given above are in fact correct. Although I do not really know the language itself, I would note that I have always had a personal interest in Scotland (on the English Wikipedia, I elevated to GA status an article about 10th-century battle involving some Scottish peoples), and I find it to be something of an insult to the Scottish people to deride one of their native languages as merely being "English with a few misspellings." Sorry but as a Scot and native speaker of a Scots language what is written on this site barely resembles the actual Scots language. I find it insuting that you would pass this off as our native language which you clearly don't speak. Again, as a native Scot and native speaker, no one where uses this site as it isn't close to resembling any Scots language. Yes, this is true that this is simply English, but spelled poorly, likely intending to resemble a stereotypical Scottish accent. And if you're wondering, by the way, I can assure you that drama has by no means decreased, nor has friendliness increased. • Congratulations on the prize. I saw the sitenotice for that competition several times; although I did not participate, it did remind me of an idea that I've had for sometime of a general Wikipedia improvement drive (for destubbing, elimination of all types of maintenance tags, etc.), although there would not, unfortunately, be financial reward for it. I'm not sure that such an endevour would result in any lasting effects, anyway; even if the backlog decreased during the event itself, it would almost certainly return to its former state after the event's conclusion, and all the work would have been for nothing. I'm inclined to believe that the only way to measurably and permanently improve the quality of Wikipedia's content is to enact substantial policy changes mandating stricter quality requirements, but such proposals always fall to groupthink SNOW fails and howls of "perennial proposal" (often without any consideration of the actual evidence).

I do certainly believe your statement that editing here is easier than on enwiki. The community here is obviously very small, and therefore it is far easier to actually get things done. There is no need to obtain "consensus" (basically a supermajority) among a huge group; it is a well known fact that consensus is much more difficult to come by in larger groups, and that is the reason for the gridlock that exists on enwiki.

Do forgive the long discourse I apparently just gave; once I start on a line of thought, I'm often the sort that will keep on going for quite some time. ;)

But that probably doesn't matter, as the subject probbaly isn't notable – it's just a 19-year-old blogger, so I think it's probably safe to delete the article. I accidentally triggered the abuse filter when editing Applejack, I was asking in the summary if it needed a copy edit like Rainbow Dash did. By the way, these other articles I mentioned last year are also articles I intend to update, as they haven't been edited since last year. They still need some translating as well. The one I worked on so far besides My Little Pony is Liv and Maddie. I decided that I'd start with the TV show articles first, and then do the movies and others. Liv and Maddie is my favorite show, so I did that first. I also dropped by on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Game of Thrones, South Park, and Friends. The last one of those had been vandalized, so I undid the vandalism before updating. One last question: should I create an account myself so that I can use AWB? He wrote a large amount of vandalism at year. I have removed some of it for now, but I don't want to remove all of it myself since I am not a registered user. However, I recommend you go to the edit history of the page and revert back to the last good version there was (it was by Sije). Also, I would like to request undeletion of Charlotte's Web. Though this article was copied from English, it was in the process of being translated until the author (Friendshipfan) was blocked. However, further translation could be fixed using AWB. Also missing are articles about Charlotte's Web (2006 film) and Charlotte's Web 2: Wilbur's Great Adventure. I would create them, but first I am working on fixing up Lady and the Tramp after I updated it. The previous revision even had the wrong release date (it was released in 1955, not 1954). During one scene in Lady and the Tramp, Jock tells Lady that Darling is expecting a "wee bairn", meaning "small child". But if that is incorrect, then there may be some articles that should have childer instead. And a few more that I'm confused about are whether or not "produced" should be "producit", "voice" should be "vyce", and "fantasy" should be "fantasie". I changed a few instances of "fantasie" to "fantasie" on a few articles, but only because there seem to be more articles using "fantasy" than "fantasie". But what I don't know is if the other way was right or not. I would change the Don Bluth category to the correct directit, except for the fact that the category was created under the wrong spelling and needs to be moved first. Hey, sorry I've just noticed a few of the pages you've created and edited and there's an error that kinda threw me for a loop.

I'm assuming you've read that Scots uses "an aw" or spelling variations thereof rather than "also" but you can't just sub one in place of the other. An aw, just like in English, goes at the end of a sentence or clause.

E.g.

[en] I'm X, and I'm also Y

[sco] A'm X, an A'm Y an aw

"A'm X, an A'm an aw Y" - doesn't work, like the English "I'm X, and I'm Y and all" sounds fine but "I'm X, and I'm and all Y" doesn't make any sense.

At times, our contributor communities and projects have suffered from a lack of guidelines that can help us together create an environment where free knowledge can be shared safely without fear.

There has been talk about the need for a global set of conduct rules in different communities over time. Recently, Wiki Foundation Board of Trustees announced a Community Culture Statement, asking for new standards to address harassment and promote inclusivity across projects. [3]

The universal code of conduct will be a binding minimum set of standards across all Wiki projects, and will apply to all of us, staff and volunteers alike, all around the globe.. If you see any pages with issues you can either fix it yourself, or since I've just fixed the Cleanup template you can add something like this to the page: {{Cleanup|date=August 2020|reason=Unuisual deealect, likely no Scots.}}

I've edited other projects since 2005, but I've no involvement with Scots Wikipedia (as far as I can recall). I don't see any point in demanding "an explanation" from Amaryllis. You don't rack up 100,000+ edits unless you're acting in good faith. I've seen a bunch of suggestions about somehow banning Amaryllis, but that's only something the project itself can decide.
I recommend taking this up in some of the joint talk spaces here on Scots Wiki Scots. All Wikipedia project are joint ventures and if you want something done about this, you need to engage other users.

If you can point to ways that a user has wilfully violated the project's policies and guidelines, then yes they can be banned or be removed as admins. I don't see indication of this, though. Without examining this in detail, the problem seems to be that there's been a lack of users that are native Scots speakers. From what I can tell, Amaryllis has acted in good faith. That his contributions have lacked in quality is another matter.

• Honestly, I don't mind if you revert all of my edits, delete my articles, and ban me from the wiki for good. I've already found out that my "contributions" have angered countless people, and to me that's all the devastation I can be given, after years of my thinking I was doing good (and yes, obsessively editing). I was only a 12-year-old kid when I started, and sometimes when you start something young, you can't see that the habit you've developed is unhealthy and unhelpful as you get older. I don't care about defending myself, I only want to stop being harassed on my social medias (and to stop my other friends who have nothing to do with the wiki from being harassed as well). Hope you're holding up. This can't be a pleasant experience. I have no doubt you did this in good faith, and it's very positive to see that you understand the criticism.
Take a break from the project if you feel like it's getting you down. The Reddit bruhaha will eventually pass and hopefully this will revive interest in Scots in the long run. Come back when you feel better and see if there's anything you do to help out in terms of technical assistance or the likes.

Thanks for trying! Scots is harder than it looks, as an ancient Scots speaker I tried editing a couple of articles lang syne, and gave up as I really had no idea of how to spell words. You made a couple of spelling corrections, and having now got an app "Scots Dictionary for Schools" your corrections look ok, though the original spellings (which were the same as the English spelling) are an option in Scots. Which to choose! It's a judgement call, best left to the high heid yins. The good news is The Big Wiki Rewrite from the Scots Language Centre, which sensibly comments that your "enthusiasm for the language", and "genuine desire to promote Scots were clearly evident, but now older and wiser", you've "recognised that [your] well meaning intentions went awry". Bit surprised they didna say "gang aft aglee", as in Burns's mice and men, but the main thing is that "help is now at hand'! So intentionally or not, you've had a great success in generating attention to this neglected corner of the Wikiworld. Relax and let them get on with it, and maybe look in occasionally and see if the revised versions are readable. Pretty sure I'll need the wee dictionary at times!
