Status: we haven't been able to find exactly what we want for these online. We sent an email to the MTE to try and clarify (the numbers we want clearly exist)

Comments:

• seems to have data by month
• doesn't appear to be info by age/sex/etc
• census has employment info for the long-form, but it looks like they don't separate jobs into categories as narrow as we'd like. (eg, they appear to lump bus drivers and truck drivers together)

Status: We have the school census data, but haven't parsed these populations out yet

Year: 2011 possible w/ microdata (also 2009, from Cidades@)

Comments:

• the IBGE-Cidades@ database has totals, but more detailed totals are available from INEP
• this more detailed info includes breakdown by sex and broad age groups (under 15, 15-17, 17+), though not at the same time
• lots of microdata are available here; it's not entirely clear to me how many of these would be useful.
• for the enrollment data, it looks like the micro censo escolar 2010 file called TS_MATRICULA_2010 has data on students by age/race
• for teachers, there appear to be microdata on age/sex/color in the file called TS_DOCENTES_2010

Status: we have the public use microdata sample from the census, but haven't parsed these populations out yet

• long-form of the census has information about married/divorced/separated/civil union/etc (but not over the past year)
• for civil registration, have to check that the most recent years are fully reported

• I'm not sure if this give us exactly what we need. It looks like it's number of family members, not the count of families (or the count of mothers)
